How can I restart an unresponsive machine?
Click the menu (...) and then Restart Desktop or Reset Desktop. The current machine will be deleted, and you will receive a new one upon your next login. This process might take a few minutes.
Alternatively, you can click the menu (...) on the machine in the Horizon client, followed by Restart Desktop or Reset Desktop.
Why am I getting a HTTP 404 error message?
This occurs when you have previously connected to Horizon using the browser on the same machine from which you are currently using the client. Horizon does not support using both the browser and the client on the same machine.
To resolve this issue, you'll need to delete the cookies for view.uio.no and reconnect using your preferred method. Please refer to the documentation for Firefox and Chrome to learn how to delete cookies.
What should I do when the screen is black and the Horizon client freezes?
If you connect to a VDI desktop and encounter a black screen, followed by the Horizon client freezing, changing some settings may help. Note this issue occurs only when using the client and not the browser.
Open the Omnissa Horizon Client and click on Settings.
Go to Horizon Blast and ensure that everything except Allow BlastCodec Encoding is turned off.
What should I do if I get "Error Parsing Token" or "XML-API" error message?
This issue may arise when you're trying to connect to a machine, possibly due to having connected to the same Horizon environment multiple times.
To resolve this, log out of Horizon and then log back in. If this does not work, delete the cookies for view.uio.no and reconnect using your preferred method. Refer to the documentation for Firefox and Chrome for instructions on deleting cookies.
