After consulting the examination team of our Department we change the deadlines and starting
time for the last three deliverables:
- P5B will be May 21
- P6A start will be May 21
- P6A deadline will be May 28
- P6B deadline will be June 11

The reason for the new deadlines is the fact that Bochs ¡°disappeared¡±. We are supposed that
there is a well tested Bochs version available on the Ifi login cluster and several individuals are
depending on it. In order to enable anyone to have sufficient time for the project work with a
well working environment on the Ifi login cluster we need to delay the P5B deadline by one week.
That in turn means that we cannot start P6 before the deadline of P5B.

We apologise for potential extra stress that this caused. We expect that we have tomorrow a
working solution.

Bochs is not working since Tuesday/Wednesday and on Thursday Ifi drift identified that they deleted an old account with the Bochs installations. Drift was working on reestablishing the account, but apparently it is not yet
working.

Since P5B is contributing to your grade the course responsible teachers cannot decide without the administration how to react to this situation such that nobody does suffer from this issue.

Given that we have now Friday evening I expect that we are not able to give you specific information before Monday.

In the meantime you should just go ahead and either use the physical machines to test or if you have the possibility qemu on your own machine (see our mattermost channel).

We are sorry for this totally unexpected issue and are working on a solution that fully compensates for your extra hassels.

The presentation of P4 will be at 12:15 Thursday 27. 3.

The deadline for P6B  is June 4th (not May 28th as the schedule showed)

We updated nearly all locations where we mention the delivery deadlines, but the Administrative FAQ contains still the deadline from previous terms.

For V2025 the deadline is Wednesday 11:00 AM Oslo time.

If you go for the late registration for IN3000/4000 we strongly recommend that you participate from the beginning of the course  in lectures and group teaching. If you start to work with the course after you received the confirmation that you are admitted to IN3000/4000 you will have missed important information and excercises and might struggle with the first mandatory assignment P1.

The first lecture will - as you can see in the lecture plan - be on Wednesday 22nd. On the day we start also the first voluntary assignment which is designed to give you all a head start into the tools and environments to be used by you for all later assignments as well as a refreshment of your C and assembler skills.

In the first lecture we take also a lot of important administrative questions up.

The group teaching starts after the first lecture.
