Aliaksandr Hubin is an Associate Professor in Statistics at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences and University of Oslo. He holds a PhD in Statistics from the University of Oslo (2018) and specializes in Bayesian inference, machine learning, and statistical modeling. His research focuses on scalable and interpretable methods in Bayesian regression context, with particular expertise in latent binary Bayesian neural networks, Bayesian generalized nonlinear models.

On April 9, Liyang Xia will present her forthcoming book on Ibsen, theatre and the Chinese state.

The goal is to understand "Birational Invariants from Hodge Structures and Quantum Multiplication" by Katzarkov-Kontsevich-Pantev-YU. KKPY introduce new birational invariants called Hodge atoms. These are constructed by combining classical Hodge theory with quantum cohomology. They use it to prove that a very general cubic fourfold is not rational.

Jens Eggers is a Professor of Applied Mathematics at the University of Bristol, specializing in the analysis of singularities in nonlinear partial differential equations, with a particular focus on applications to fluid dynamics and hydrodynamics. He was elected a Fellow of the American Physical Society in 2009 for his contributions to singularities in free-surface flows. Eggers was awarded the Naylor Prize and Lectureship in 2023 for his contributions to the theoretical understanding of singularities of nonlinear partial differential equations.
