LINK is a hub for collaboration with many exciting initiatives at the University of Oslo's faculties and units. Together, we contribute to the dissemination of knowledge, cross-disciplinary experience sharing, and the strengthening of education quality at the university.

Academic Hospitality in Interdisciplinary Education (AHIE) (2021-2025)
The project is led by LINK staff at the Department of Education, and studies collaboration in interdisciplinary education using the concept of "academic hospitality." LINK will also contribute to setting up the technical environment for the project.
Academic hospitality describes different ways of being hospitable in a university and college context, including epistemological, material, linguistic, or tourist hospitality. The project aims to develop new conceptual and theoretical understanding of the conditions and pedagogy that promote and facilitate academic hospitality in interdisciplinary education.
The project will also contribute to a comprehensive, empirical, and practical knowledge base on the dynamics of academic hospitality and interdisciplinary education, to describe, model, and promote academic hospitality in interdisciplinary education. Furthermore, there is a goal to develop an arena for the researchers in the project, and other interested parties from higher education, where we can together develop advice and recommendations for using academic hospitality to improve interdisciplinary education.
Second-Career Decentralized Professional Studies in Theology (ADAPT)
Led by the Faculty of Theology, LINK contributes with pedagogical advice and video production. ADAPT will develop an experience-based master's degree in theology and flexible subjects in theology that meet the educational needs of those who want to become a priest in the Church of Norway as a second career.
The project is developing a study program that can be adapted to different competence backgrounds and that meets the qualification requirements for parish priest adopted by the Church Assembly in 2021. The program consists of a 90-credit experience-based master's degree and 9 elective flexible subjects of 10 credits each. The subjects are to be coordinated with the 6-year professional study in theology. This will ensure high quality of the subjects, strengthen a vulnerable study environment, and provide an economically sustainable study program in theology.
Argumentation in Practice (ARG)
The ARG project is a collaboration between HF-studio and LINK, led by the Department of Philosophy, Ideas and Art History, and Classical Languages. ARG will develop a student-active learning design for the examen philosophicum (exphil), and LINK will contribute with video production.
Learning resources will be developed to promote good argumentation, and students will gain practical experience in academic method and work on socially relevant issues.
Sustainability Lab
The Sustainability Lab project is an RCN-funded development project. LINK contributes with Canvas advice and is a member of the project group, which also includes members from the Department of Archaeology, Conservation and History and the Department of Psychology.
The project has developed a cross-disciplinary practical subject where students work on real sustainability challenges, in collaboration with companies and the UN Global Compact. Key goals are to develop learning activities that give students cross-disciplinary work experience and strengthen their experience of work relevance and change agency.
Digital Integration of Video Assessment in Different Arenas (DIVA)
The project is a DIKU-funded innovation project linked to the Department of Teacher Education and School Research. LINK's role in the project is primarily related to project evaluation. The project pilots learning design with video-based solutions for use in teaching, guidance, and assessment situations in higher education.
Continuous Competence Assessment (LSV)
The project is carried out in collaboration with the Faculty of Dentistry, and LINK contributes with pedagogical advice. LSV is a formative assessment that should help the student to develop knowledge, skills, and general competence such as attitudes throughout the study. Competence assessment is about ensuring that a student has the academic and personal prerequisites to function responsibly in their future professional practice.
Together in Practice (SamPraks)
LINK participates in the project group and contributes with pedagogical advice. SamPraks is a cross-professional practice program currently offered to students in the final years of medicine, psychology, clinical nutrition, pharmacy, dentistry, education, theology, and special education: audiology and speech therapy. Through cross-professional collaboration, the group assesses the patient's status and promotes prioritized suggestions for improvement based on the patient's needs (patient-centered). The intention is both to give the patient a better quality of life and to be able to provide input to the staff's patient follow-up. Students are to learn from each other, with each other, and about each other.
Learning Together (SAMMEN)
The SAMMEN project is an RCN-funded development project. LINK is a member of the project group led by the Department of Media and Communication (IMK) and contributes with pedagogical advice and piloting of Video Essay as an assessment form. The project is being carried out in conjunction with a comprehensive review and evaluation of master's teaching at IMK, and focuses on developing and implementing student-active learning and assessment forms.
The aim is to create educational offerings that students find relevant and meaningful, fostering the development of knowledge, skills, and work methods with high transferability.
TeamLearn
Harnessing Learning Analytics to Empower Collaborative Problem-Solving.
TeamLearn, spearheaded by LINK staff at the Department of Education, delves into the potential of digital technologies, multimodal learning analytics, and automated feedback to enhance the study and support of collaborative problem-solving and team-based learning in higher education. The project's partners include CELL - Centre on Experiential Legal Learning, UiO, the Department of Health and Society, UiO, the Department of Nursing and Health Sciences, USN, and Monash University, Australia.

Merit Scheme
LINK contributes to the work of merit assessment by being a member of the evaluation committee and by organising application seminars for those, who want to learn more about the scheme and are considering applying. The application seminar is held in the first week of June each year, with the application deadline for applying for status as a meritorious educator on September 1st.
The Canvas Faculty Network
LINK collaborates closely with SADM and their Digital Services Office through the Canvas core team and network meetings, supporting the university's commitment to digital excellence.
University of Oslo Career
LINK supports the Careers department in designing and developing courses for the Find Your Future- project, which focuses on tailored career education.
SK-ITU and Development Work
LINK actively participates in the SK-ITU secretariat, which also serves as the SK secretariat. We prepare meetings for SK-ITU, follow up on matters between meetings, and write proposals for the budget and allocation of advertised funds. The secretariats are also often used as working groups for tasks, such as the DLM 2030 project, and for writing drafts of documents such as the roadmap for the digital learning environment and the AI strategy.

LINK will be involved in capacity building and KIp?Tvers will be a good platform to share experiences. The project is owned by academic communities at the Department of Computer Science at the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, the Faculty of Law, and the Faculty of Theology.

SimSamBot
An interactive AI-based training platform for simulating communication situations - LINK as a contributor to chatbot design, priming, and technical consultation. The project is owned by academic communities at the Faculty of Educational Sciences, the Faculty of Medicine, and the Faculty of Dentistry.

A learning assistant based on AI
LINK will contribute with pedagogical advice, help connect the project's efforts with existing pedagogical research, and help with the learning design aspect. LINK will also participate in the pedagogical evaluation of the project and co-write a research article using the results that will come out of it. The project is owned by academic communities at the Faculty of Educational Sciences and the Faculty of Dentistry.
Pedagogical Academy
The Pedagogical Academy, which currently has 24 members, and new members are appointed after a merit application at the Education Conference each year, is a key partner for LINK.
Each year, LINK collaborates with the meritorious educators on program content for the Education Conference.
The educators in the Pedagogical Academy have shared their experiences and insights with LINK during the development and production of BetterTeaching, which is an open online resource to support and inspire university pedagogical competence development and pedagogical development work.

Collaboration networks led by LINK
Network for Learning Assistant Programs
The progress towards formalizing the "Network for Learning Assistant Programs at UiO," as well as the network's pedagogical development, is supported by LINK through coordination efforts. The network consists of staff members who work on the recruitment, training, and coordination of learning assistants. In fall 2024, we are formalising a mandate, establishing the network's foundations, setting goals, creating a framework, sharing our practices and developing a timeline.
LINK's open digital resource, BetterTeaching, offers a dedicated module about learning assistants. Where learning assistents and teachers can find research-supported benefits for learning assistants and the role they play. You'll find resources on topics such as training and integrating learning assistants into courses, success criteria and real video case studies. In addition there is a toolkit for the learning assistants with practical tips on how to create a safe learning environment, lesson planning, finding learning activities, and using digital tools.
The University of Oslo's initiative on learning assistants aligns with NOKUT's recommendations for enhancing student engagement.
AI in Education Network
In spring 2023, LINK initiated collaborative efforts around AI that resulted in the creation of an informal network called in Norwegian KI p? Tvers-nettverk.
Together, we have co-created content for the AI website, where information on the use of AI in the context of higher education is disseminated. Work on the website for Artificial intelligence (AI) at UiO is anchored at SK-ITU.

This network is for faculty and administrative staff at UiO who are interested in media production for teaching. You can be a curious beginner, wanting to get started, or a seasoned professional interested in sharing and following what is happening in this field at UiO. The network facilitates knowledge sharing, organises workshops, inspires each other, and provides tips on the production and use of various media in teaching and learning.
