The world is heating, in more ways than just one. Increasing temperature in both the physical and political atmosphere will have consequences for Norway as an arctic nation. In this volatile time, we need new thoughts on options and dilemmas, possibilities and limitations - and political ramifications.
The International Summer School of the University of Oslo invites students, experts and the general public to an open panel conversation on these matters.
The distinguished panel will be moderated - and challenged - by representatives of the Norwegian Young Conservatives (Unge H?yre) and the Workers' Youth League (AUF).
In the panel:
- Eivind Vad Petersson, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
- Tormod Heier, Professor of military strategy at the Norwegian Defence Command and Staff College
- Hedda Langemyr, Director of UTSYN – Centre for Security and Resilience
- Andreas ?sthagen, Research Director on Arctic and Ocean Politics at the Fritjof Nansen Institute
The event is free and open for all, but for practical reasons we kindly request registration. (The link for registration will be published later here.)
