Matters about working hours and contractual protection do not fall under the occupational health and safety representative but under elected representatives (Chapters 12-20 of the Working Environment Act).

Local working environment committee (LAMU)
The committee follows up the safety, health and welfare of staff and students, and participates in the planning of the conservation and environmental work at the faculty. LAMU discusses and gives advice in adjustment and relocation processes, and also processes damage and accident reports.
