After completing the master's programme, you may also use your knowledge and competencies in a variety of professional roles outside of academia.
The need for professionals with expert knowledge of multilingualism and the ability to address challenges arising from multilingualism is present in both public and private sectors.
After completing this programme you will gain the skills to work in areas including communication in multilingual workplaces, development and assessment of language policies, multilingual language education and assessment, multilingualism in institutional settings, and clinical care for multilinguals with language impairments, among other topics.

Start developing your career
In your third semester at the master's programme in multilingualism you can choose to have an internship at a workplace or in a professional research project relevant to your field of study. You can also write a master's thesis in collaboration with an external funder/employer. In this way, you can get a valuable network which can be useful when you are looking for a job later.
