Research in economic evaluation involves
- Methods to assess the cost-effectiveness of treatments, procedures, diagnostics, screening practices, healthcare delivery routes and technologies.
- Use of QALYs in the assessment of effectiveness
- Application of the methods to a range of diseases such as cancer (e.g. breast, colorectal, lung), cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis, diabetes, orphan diseases and rheumatic disease.
Internship in Health management and Health economics
During your studies you will get the opportunity to work for relevant institutions within the healthcare sector. This will give you the chance to develop professional networks in Norway. Students do an internship with an organisation for 21 days.

Honours certificate
Are you academically ambitious? It is possible to supplement your master's degree with an honors certificate worth 20 ECTS. You complete the certificate concurrently with the master's programme.
