Reset password and OTP for international users in TSD

International users without ID-porten can change their password and set a one-time code (OTP) via a reset link from an administrator.

How to send a reset link as an administrator

  1. Go to TSD Selfservice.
  2. Select Foreign user administration under Project Administration.
  3. Click Password reset.
  4. Click Create new link.
    • Note: the reset link is only valid for 3 hours.
  5. Select the user from the list and click Create and send reset link.
  6. Send the link to the user.
    • The link is also sent to the user’s email address that you entered in the previous step, but not the passphrase.
  7. Provide the passphrase (secret) to the user in a video meeting or phone call.
    • The passphrase must not be sent directly to the user.

How the user changes password and sets OTP

  1. Goes to the link, enters the passphrase and clicks validate.
  2. Sets a new password.
    • If only a new OTP is needed, the user skips this.
  3. Selects Front page or clicks the TSD logo to go to the start page.
  4. Selects OTP under Your personal data and sets a new OTP.
