Take recordings with Media Capture in TSD

How to make a recording

We recommend that you make a test recording first to check that everything works as it should.

1. Go to TSD Media Capture.
2. Under Capture Setup, select:
   • Capture camera/microphone if you want to make a video recording with camera and microphone.
   • Capture screen/speakers if you want to make a screen recording with audio from the computer.
3. If you only want to record audio or video, remove the check mark for Capture Video or Capture Audio.

By default, all members of the project will have access to the recording. If you do not want this, you can enter the group that should have access in the Group field under Importing.

4. Click Start Capturing to see a preview. Check that the image looks correct and that you get audio under Levels.
5. Click Start under Recording to start the recording.
   • You can pause and resume the recording by selecting Pause and Resume.
6. Click Stop when you are finished with the recording.

How to find the recording in TSD

1. Log in to TSD
2. Open the File Explorer.
3. Go to the folder data (N:) -> durable -> file-import -> the group you chose for access.
   • The video file is located in this folder and is labeled with date, time, and username.
