The Gemini Collaboration represents a model for strategic research coordination between parallel research groups at NTNU, SINTEF, University of Oslo, St. Olav’s Hospital and NTNU Social Research. SINTEF coordinates the Gemini Collaboration.
A Gemini center is a formalized and structured collaboration between academic communities where ambitions are concretized through shared goals and strategies. The centers are strategically anchored through a board of line managers. The collaboration can include research, education, commercialization, internationalization, lab collaboration and external networking.
The Gemini center can have various purposes, such as: developing new academic areas, addressing major and interdisciplinary societal challenges, being a platform for developing SFI/FME/EU applications, or coordinating joint activities and laboratories.
Collaborating professional communities can apply for Gemini Centre status twice a year.
Would you be interested in starting a Gemini Centre? Contact the coordinator team before submitting an application. Also feel free to contact them if you have any questions about the scheme.
The application deadline is 15 October 2024.
