About the project
This study explores how social practice changes during power cuts, and how households evaluate the consequences of such cuts. The study pays particular attention to contextual variables that may influence how different households consider power cuts, and how they evaluate economic and other consequences of power cuts.
Moreover, the study seeks to reveal how households resonate when specifying their willingness to pay (WTP) to avoid power cuts, which has been a major theme in larger national surveys. Qualitative interviews are thought to shed light on a deviation in the literature between direct expenses and WTP, examining how experiences, practices and probability considerations may influence the ways in which households specify their WTP.
