New centres for the use of Norwegian as an academic language, AI, quantum technology and sustainability, together with a doubling of allocations for basic, excellent research, contributed to a strong 2025 for UiO¡¯s researchers in tough competition.

Recent results from a national study survey show that students at the University of Oslo (UiO) are highly satisfied with their study programmes. Students are spending more time on organised learning activities and are largely present on campus.
