About the election
From 19 to 23 May, elections for the University Board – the university's highest governing body took place. There was a total of 22 candidates. Staff members have the right to vote in the category to which they belong.
The voter turnout has increased among all voter groups.
- Permanent academic staff: 1014 of 2030 people, or 49.95 percent (up from 42.29 percent in 2021)
- Technical and administrative staff: 1218 of 3069 people, or 36.96 percent (up from 32.72 percent in 2021)
- Temporary academic staff: 509 of 2165 people, or 23.51 percent (up from 17.49 percent in 2021)
These representatives will be part of the new University Board from 1 August 2025, along with the chairperson and newly elected rector Ragnhild Hennum. There will also be four external representatives appointed by the Ministry of Education and Research.
